The Universite' de Mons (UMONS) is founded on the association of the University of Mons-Hainaut and the Faculty of Engineering. As of 2009-2010, this body will take seat in the new academic landscape of the French-speaking Community. The University has 7 Faculties and 3 Institutes, among which the Faculty of Engineering, participating in CALLAS, founded in 1836.
